Seems to be a dry spell for good syncros lately. Maybe in the Spring people will put a few up for sale and bring the prices down. If not, that's good too, as mine just gets more valuable. 87s have the bad 3/4 slider so if the tranny hasn't been rebuilt, it will be, even so just b/c of the miles. So add 2500 to the price. 187K on original engine probably means a rebuild in maybe 50K miles at best I would guess. A passenger van like that, even in good shape with lots of maintenance receipts should not be more than $7K I don't think, and I personally would be looking for more like 6K. But whatever it sells for is what it is worth I guess. >From: Zeitgeist <gruengeist@GMAIL.COM> >Reply-To: Zeitgeist <gruengeist@GMAIL.COM> >To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM >Subject: Syncro van price range >Date: Fri, 5 Jan 2007 16:39:48 -0800 > >What price range is considered to be the norm for a good condition (no rust >or dents) '87 GL van with 187k and recent factory heads, PW, PDL, AC and >rear diff lock?
