Never had a problem, but I always pick up my parts in person. _____ From: Old Volks Home [mailto:oldvolkshome@gmail.com] Sent: Saturday, January 06, 2007 6:14 AM To: Jack R Cc: vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com Subject: Re: Vanagon Parts Source Check the archives (both Gerry & Yahoo) for the litany of complaints and other less than desitable transactions involving the Parts Place, especially in mail order. Yours may have been one of the few exceptions. Most good ones I've heard have been those with those actually picking their stuff up in-person. With that in mind, I will never deal with them on a mail order or phone basis. -- Jim Thompson 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com <http://www.oldvolkshome.com> *See You At Buses By The Bridge XI* ********************************** On 1/5/07, Jack R <jack007@comcast.net> wrote: Here is a link to the pdf. Catalog of Vanagon / VW parts at the local "Parts Place" near my home, North of Detroit. Before the internet (yes I have owed my Vanagon since 1987) this place and the dealer were my only sources for Vanagon Parts. I haven't see this posted on any of the VW sites, so I felt is worth sharing. http://www.partsplaceinc.com/PDF/PartsPlaceIncCatalog09.pdf There are some good tips in the catalog as well. Jack R.
