So, I wanted to send out greetings to Mark the pilot of a Westy that I saw (and stopped to say "howdy") today (7 JAN 2007).
It's a rare event to see any of the Vanagons down here, so I just wanted to take a second and say hello!

Also, I'm still down and out, but closing in on my problem (I think -- I have to stay positive). I believe my ECU is faulty, so I'm going to test that theory soon. And thanks to Mark, Eric and Doug for chiming in with helpful advice (and for Doug, thanks for spending some time on the phone with me).

I will post my final fix once I'm back on the road -- these intermittent problems are oh so fun......

FYI - my problem appears to be that my fuel pump does not get energized, the relay driven by the ECU seems to not engage. Furthermore, I have observed a situation now where the fuel pump does engage, but still no start. It seems to always be "fuel starved". I hope to be back on the road with my daily driver soon.

Thanks to all! I'll keep you posted.

-Robert
