Peanut butter might be the lowest effort - you could spread it on and then
leave it for the raccoons to clean off along with the tape residue...

folks i used paint thinner/mineral spirits.  works well, doesnt hurt paint.

best idea i got was to use peanut butter.. :<)   i didnt try that one but it
sounds yummy..
