Way back when I was just a lad, my father used to carry one of those tire
inflaters that screwed into the a spark plug hole. Very simple device:
long hose (~20'), fitting on one end where it screwed into the plug hole, a
fitting on the other end for the tire valve, heck, it even had pressure
gauge.

Cheers,

Jeff

Subject: AC Compressor to inflate tires, etc?

Hi all.

I seem to recall many, many years ago there was a discussion regarding
how you could somehow use your AC compressor to fill an air tank for
inflating tires instead of pressurizing your AC system.

Am I hallucinating? Does anyone remember anything about this?

IIRC, the thread also included a reference to how there was some
attachment for old army Jeeps that allowed you to inflate tires by
disconnecting one of the spark plugs.

Thanks,
