I really don't think its ready for prime time John.

I have friends with Vonage and the dropouts are many and large.

The other problem concerns the maintenance abilities of the internet
provider.  During one of our recent storms with three day power outage, we
had telephone/internet service almost all the way through, whereas many
people who get their internet service through the TV cable were without
service for 7-10 days.

The cable company just doesn't have the repair guys at the ready the way
that the phone company does.

And yeah, we didn't use to get fierce storms either.
