Subject:Re: Families - what do they know?

My dad has had an eclectic assortment of vehicles, and I have, too. I have taken to using his answer, when presented with the "Why do you drive that junk" argument. That answer is "I will drive whatever you want, as long as you make the payments." The choice belongs to the one who is responsible for the care and feeding of the vehicle in question, after all.

I am with Jeff on this one. Car payments for a no-account vehicle suck.

Preach on Unca Joe!

Really the only thing that matters is that I love them, my girl thinks they
are pretty damn cool (when they run), and my boy thinks that they are the
best thing too.

As far as everyone else. Well, they can have their 3 or 4 hundred dollar a
month car payments on a vehicle that has not character, no class, and won't
be around when it has 200k miles and is over 20 years old.
