Subject:Re: Power loss above 3000 rpms in 85 Westy

Hi,
A quick update in response to all the suggestions I have received so
far. I plan on doing a compression test this afternoon. It has new
plugs, less than week old but will check their condition when I do the
compression check. It doesn't burn any oil. I doubt the cat is clogged
as I put on a whole new exhaust system in Aug. including a cat. I will
also do my best to check relevant sensors - throttle position switch,
temp 1, temp 2, and the amf but it may be a bit of an adventure since I
haven't done this before. Also are there any tricks to checking the
compression on an 85 with a 2.1L Digijet?

Thanks,
Sam
