Hi,

We just "squished" it enough to make it fit.  We keep our stuff in
ginormous-sized plastic zip-lock bags, and they stay OK on the
less-than-flat shelves.

You do have to pay attention to how the hooks work on top, to avoid
getting one that will open your shelves "sideways" from where you want
them to open.
