thought I'd post it here first.
1.9TD engine- disassembled, partially cleaned,(block
cleaned and painted) but complete sans Turbocharger.

was a complete running driving engine, I was going to
put it into my vanagon, so I planned on rebuilding it.

all the valves are good, the valve guides are good,
the Mains and rods ane nice, the rings were just
within tolerance.
typical cracking between valves- perfectly acceptable,
and usable.

  Comes with everything including inj pump, head,
block with crank still installed, manifolds (int and
exh) and all the ancillaries.

asking 1100 or BO. for about $300 in parts (+ a good
1.6l turbo unit), and your time, you could have a nice
engine to power your Vanagon.

my plan was-
1.6l turbo
GTD injectors
Intercooler (air/water)
to acheive very similar results to a stock TDi.

 I've decided to use a 1Z TDi engine, despite the
wiring.
Of course you will need the other Vanagon diesel parts
to make it work in your van....
