The DPO of my '85 Westy carefully measured then drilled a hole in the side wall of the hanging closet, pushed the hand bolt through the hole from the inside of the closet and clamped the table top vertically to the outside of the cabinet. The table top rests gently on edge on the rear cushion which helps align the bolt hole with the hand bolt when stowing it. It rides quietly, securely and stays out of the way until needed. I don't really use it much but I like having it onboard. What do people do with this thing when it's not in place? Where is it supposed to be stowed? I think it would be great for cooking as a counter top but It seems big and awkward, and I wouldn't want it in there all the time as it takes up a lot of space.
