Before I installed the Zetec, I had a 2.1l that seeped a little blue VW
coolant from the head gaskets each winter during storage outside in the
Minnesota winters. Not much, probably 8 oz. at most, most likely less. I
never had coolant leaks in the summer and did not have to add any coolant
during long trips.

Perhaps eventually the leak would have gotten worse, but I put about 5k
miles on the engine in this condition without any noticeable changes in
wintertime coolant loss. My experperience, YMMV.
