It's not very often, but if you happen to travel through heavily Hispanic neighborhoods here in the Southern California area, you will occasionally spot the black radiator equipped Mexican made Kombi with Mexican License Plates. I've talked to a few of the owners/drivers who all said they were legally (can you imagine that?) up from south of the border visiting relatives a few times a year. As long as they had the proper paperwork at the border they were able drive 'em in as long as they drove 'em back out when leaving. It's strange hearing the quiet exhaust note of a Golf/Jetta coming from the tail end of a Bay Window ;-) YMMV :-) -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On 2/8/07, The Bus Depot <vanagon@busdepot.com> wrote: > > > DANG!
