I was experiencing, again, random flashing of the warning light and wild swings of the needle. Stopped in at the garage to see if my mechanic had any ideas. He noticed that the harness to the Temp II sensor was: a) put on upside down ( I didn't think that was possible with most connections) and b) loose, because the blue plastic housing was broken and the wire bail missing. He strapped it on tight with a tie-down. Seems to have solved the problem temporarily, but I have only driven a couple of blocks since. Stay tuned ... Woody 83.5 V'gon Haverhill, MA PS I have a spare plug with housing intact, but no bail. Maybe I'll try a replacement.
