My 3 gauge setup consists of oil pressure, Volts, and water temperature (Equus electrical gauges). I have the Voltage gauge running to a spdt switch so I can switch between aux battery or main battery with a center off position. The main battery doesn't need the center off as it senses 12 volts from an "ignition on" source. Mike Todd Last wrote: > Is there any reason why you could not mount a voltmeter so it always was "on." Is the reason that these seem to always be controled by a switch because they draw so much current that they would drain the battery quickly? > > Has anyone attached an ampmeter to their aux battery, or to their regular Vanagon electric system? > > > Todd > '88 Westy >
