Probably so. That's like trying to find a tire/wheel shop to high-speed balance 5 Lug 205mm pattern rims that went on Bug to 67 and Buses thru 70. These days I have to have them "static bubble balanced" (and some will swear it's better to do it that way). Many tire/wheel shops have scrapped stuff like that to the wayside or because the advent of the alloy wheel, are too new to have had equipment like that in the first place. My recommendation is to check tire/wheel shops that have been in biz for very LOOOONNNNGGGG time, like 3 or 4 decades or more for information and/or equipment on that. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On 2/27/07, Jim Felder <felder@knology.net> wrote: > > My camper has its original set of steel wheels and it occurred to me > recently that the car would look a whole lot better if I stripped and > resprayed the wheels.
