I've got an old 15" computeer LCD that I got for free.  My plan was to hook it up to my portable DVD player and mount it in the van.  THe screen even runs on 12v DC.  The problem is scaling the video so I can plug the DVD player into a VGA or DVI input.  It's possible, but the adapters are not too cheap.
