Madeline,

Changing the steering position can be done. I started working on that some
years back but realized I was only doing it to have tilt steering and not
really needing it. I put the project back on the shelf where it sits today.
I almost forgot that one of the things I like about Vanagons is the
"bus-like" steering position.
