The Vanagon front heater core is simply huge. About 50% larger than the rear or that of most cars. A good radiator shop may be able to make one but it will cost anyway. The front heater only takes outside air so the capacity is needed. Hi all. I searched archives, but thought maybe an "advance" had been made in last while. Has anyone successfully used another manufacture of heater core in place of stock front heater core? Could the rear heater core be installed up front? $$ for new, up here in Can. anyways. Landed from U.S. likely $$ too. Just trying to use new parts on flap housing upgrade/rebuild and save some doouuhhh toooo...... TIA, -- Neil Nicholson. 1981 Air Cooled Westfalia. http://web.mac.com/tubaneil
