Subject:Re: Tire Choice Question

On my '85 Westy and my '84 7 passenger I have Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires
and they do very well in wet or dry or snow conditions. They are
185-14s (one set is the C2 and the other is the CS). They are
essentially the same but one set came with the holes for installing
studs though I didn't have them installed.

I use them year round and, due to the aggressive tread, they are
slightly noisier than a summer tire and, because of the load rating and
high pressures (depending on load ... about 39 front and 50 rear) they
are slightly harsh on a washboard road.

They eliminated the Vanagon dance when meeting or being passed by big
trucks and they track true and predictably.

Bottom line ... I like 'em.
