Maggie, I just replaced mine. BD has the ring. In my case, the contact in the column was also in bad shape and started eating up the new ring. I flowed some solder into the bad spot and sanded it smooth. A little white grease for good measure. So far so good. Ken Lewis http://neksiwel.20m.com/
