I have a standard height garage with a rollup door, and my '86 Westy with the lift springs (from Van-Cafe) and 215/70-15's and have plenty of clearance - well, a inch or two anyway. As mentioned previously, the skylight does *not* fit if open. The resulting CRUNCH! does provide a good lesson for remembering next time though...haven't done a second time yet :-) Keith Hughes '86 Westy Tiico (Marvin) >-----Original Message----- >From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of >craig cowan >Sent: Wednesday, March 14, 2007 11:18 PM >To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM >Subject: Re: Tire Choice Question > >I always wondered how people managed to get their vans into garages... >I have an '85 without the heavy westy interior, but with the pop top (added >above the sunroof), 195R14 tires, and the '85's have taller springs.
