Markus,

Your van will get a good dusting, inside and out. But it's really no worse
than any other trip to any desert (or any other dusty place). A good
cleaning will take care of the dust. The destructive properties of the
alkali in the dust at Burning Man has been greatly exaggerated over the
years.

Cheers,

Hi all,

I finally convinced my wife that it's OK to take our van to Burning Man this
Fall.

It will be the first time for both of us.

She's concerned that we will get caught in dust storms that will permeate
our van with fine talcum like dust in every crack and crevice which we will
never be able to clean out 100%.

I said that we will be OK and that we can control any dust problems by
closing up the van whenever we are not in it (basically all day long).

So, depending on the vagaries of weather, anybody have any experience or
tips? Or, am I going to be in trouble with the wife?
