I would not take this assertion at full face value. Some pilot leds do
glow when the fridge is running on 12 volts but that does not mean they
should. Whether it is a problem worth fixing is the real question I think.

I know of some that do glow, even one of mine, but I know of others that
don't, even one of mine.
