There's one factor that I haven't seen mentioned yet, but I've run
across it once or twice when shopping for an old car.  This is where
"external factors" dictate the sale of the vehicle, so the price is set
such that "Gee, honey, I've been trying to sell that old car, but nobody
wants to buy it" isn't a lie.
