Robert, Reasonable numbers of Vanagonauts in RTP. Also excellent camping groups, others mentioned FullMoon, another that is more low key, but very active and fun is KampenFoolz, a NC group, http://www.kampenfoolz.com/. I am sending this to the vanagon list to offer another reminder of EveryBus. April 12-15, a wonderful springtime tradition here in NC. http://www.mindspring.com/~everybus/ I look forward to seeing another Vanagon in the triangle. Feel free to contact me by pmail.
