Well, after doing some research and a more detailed look at the Vin, I find Mr. Yoshi doesn't have a Vanagon at all, but in reality itsa 1993 Eurovan (note the "70" in the seventh & eighth character of the Vin), probably for the Asian market. With some help from my contact at VOA, here's the straight info: ECU 023 906 023A is superseded and replaced with 023 997 023 X (Remanufactured). There are none in North America or Mexico (figures), but may be available from VW's main distribution point in Germany. Price is $1123.90 Exchange, PLUS a $300 Core Charge Deposit. Core Deposit is of course refunded after receipt of the old unit. If ordered from Germany, I would have it within 3 weeks (that is, if they have one). -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On 4/8/07, yoshimoto <yoshimoto@piano.ocn.ne.jp> wrote: > > Hi! > > I am mailing from Japan. > > I find the vanagon mailing list on website. > > So I decide to mail and ask my problem. > > I hope you will give me a solution. > > My problem is ECU for Vanagon. > > I could not find the ECU in Japan. > > If your member know any information of ECU, > > I really need a help. > > My ECU number:023 906 023 A > > Body number:WV2ZZZ70ZPH028537 > > Thank you > > Ryusuke Yoshimoto > yoshimoto@piano.ocn.ne.jp
