You can clean the old ones and spray paint them satin black.Then spray
steel wheel paint on a small roller and carefully roll the letters.

                   Looks good - is good.

 I did this and they are still looking as new, after 3 years. I drilled
several holes in a 2X4 for the  emblem attacing studs to seat, while the
embelm lays flat on the wood.
