As I continue to tinker with my '87 Westy, I have a couple of new questions for the 'List'. Previous problems solved with your help. 1. Intermittent wipers. My '87 Westy (GL) does not seem to have this function, whereas my '85 did, and I did find this useful (it actually does occasionally rain here in California Bay Area). (I've tried pushing down on the stalk, but any further presure would seem to lead to snapping it off!) Any suggestions on how to add this function? 2. Jump seat I'm planning to add a carat style jump seat on the passenger side of my '87 Westy. I've picked up a seat from a junk yard and cleaned it up. I've also looked carefully at another '87 GL van with the jump seats to measure up the mounting points etc. My '87 Westy does not have the floor 'sockets' welded to floor or the plates behind the battery bulkhead, so I'm working out how to mount the seat. Has anyone done this job, and if so, how did you do it (take floor plates from a donor van; build something similar; etc...) Also, the seat belt I got with the seat is missing the plastic circular piece that contains the big spring to retract the belt (presumeably someone got to that before I did). Anybody know the part # of this small piece (of for the complete belt unit) and/or where I could get one of these from? Thanks, Mike '87 Westy __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
