Another trick is to cut a lenght of heat-shrink tubing,
slide it over the wire.
connect the spade connectors,
slide the tube over the connectors,
Heat and seal.

If you need to access the connection, just cut the tubing off.

(I find this works well for connections subject to road spray.)
