I was topping off my AC today when I noticed a smell coming from the compressor. Later after running the AC for a while I saw full on smoke coming out of the clutch. Now after letting the clutch cool it won't stay the same speed as the engine. Anyone know if the clutch is a simple item to remove? I see tool kits for removing them so I assume I can't just remove the bolt and pull it off. I also am wondering if I have just lost a clutch or if this is indicative of a bigger problem. I have over 200K miles on the compressor and clutch; the compressor is noisy but it always has been and it cools fine. Thanks, Kurt 87 Wolfsburg
