thanks for the very informative post. I have  a subie conversion, so there
is already proper wiring between alternator and starter. also, my lenses are
euro spec h4, so i have a lot of light. so if i understand you correctly,
all i do is steal the power for the relays from the fan power supply. my
relays are installed after the  high/low beam switch  on the steering
column, so  i suppose  they still go through the original fuses after that.
