We have the Fiamma 45i awning and realy like it.  We have to long one, I
think 10 feet.  We use it all the time and we often open it partially,
but you need to use the legs to support it, but that takes maybe 5
seconds per leg.  One improvement to make is to add a plastic strip on
the backside of it to direct any rain water into the roof rain gutter of
the van, otherwise rainwater splashes down between the awning and the
rain gutter.  A piece of plastic ripped off some vinyl siding works good
for this purpose.
