You can jack up the rear wheel, one at a time, and turn the wheel by hand to see if you hear anything from the CV. You can start the engine and shift the gear into the first and let the wheel spin. Make sure you have big blocks of something in front of the front wheels in case the van wants to move forward. If you can jack up both rear wheels it would be even better to see both spinning at the same time. My guess is it is one of the CVs that's having a problem. --- Florian Speier <groups.florian@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > On 5/5/07, Kjmmensing@aol.com <Kjmmensing@aol.com> wrote: > > > > Hi Flo > > Try swapping sides on them one is longer. > > I think the left but cant remember for sure. > > > > i forgot to mention that this is a manual transmission, so the axles are > the same. also, there were very unpleasant noises of big things being very > unhappy - so i dont think its actually the wheel - also it was fine at first > and suddenly started. > > > > > > > ------------------------------ > > See what's free at AOL.com <http://www.aol.com?ncid=AOLAOF00020000000503>. > > > > > __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
