The secret answer to the seat belt unwind:

The mechanism is designed to only release the
belt when the vehicle is on right side up. If on
it's side or upside down, it won't release, there
by holding the occupant from falling.

Setting the retractor wqith the strap going up as
it is in the car allows the belt to release.

I don't have to throw 3 seat belts!! And I get to
keep the money!!!
