I took the valves off mine and had a local shop powder coat it. Cost
was about 40.00 plus 10.00 prep fee. Looks great and it's about 3 years
old.

If your going to stick with pant I'd stay with something light like
silver, white or tan. You'll be repainting it every few years so why
bother using something hard to work.
