Subject:Suggestions?
From:Kris Seago

Hi all,

I need some sage advice (or maybe a cold dose of reality).

My beloved '84 Westy is languishing in my driveway. It has one
serious issue (zero compression in one cylinder, cause unknown) and a
fair range of lesser issues (gas lines need replacing, small patches
of seam rust, and a minor transmission issue). A few years back I
bought a pristine '97 Eurovan Camper and the Westy has suffered
inattention ever since.

It will be at least several months before I can turn my attention to
the Westy, and I'm not sure I'll ever give it the full attention it
deserves. I'm not sure my neighbors appreciate my driveway art and I
know the s.o. doesn't.

Suggestions? Part it out? Sell it "as is" to someone more likely to
rescue it? Hold out a few months and do the right thing (rebuilt
engine or swap)?

Thanks in advance,

Kris
