Dylan, I believe that is a symptom of a faulty ground. There are two ground clusters behind the fuse block, directly below that windshield leak. Once you locate them the problem should obvious. Good Luck, Ken Lewis http://neksiwel.20m.com/ Vanagon mods, tech info and O2 sensor help
