Running the danger of bringing this thread back to it's original,
boring technical nature, once access is established to that ingenious
Phillips head, how in the Lord's name does one tighten the damn
thing? I don't see any way of fitting a Phillips head in there?
Special Snap-On mucho dinero tool or glue a Phillips drill bit to a
say 8mm open /box end wrench maybe? Why couldn't Shmolkswagen use a
hex screw? needless question obviously...proper Volkswagen procedure
probably requires drilling an access hole through door, brilliant !
This seems to me to actually be a pretty easy fix once the door panel
and speaker is out, with huge instant reward if you don't have
working ac.

Dynamite would probably work also, I will have to call Wolfgang and
Dieter back on that one...
