My Bentley manual says to fill 4.5 liter (4.7 US qt) with oil filter change
or 4.0 liter (4.2 US qt) without oil filter change. These are on 17.7 Engine-
Lubrication System section. I believe this is wrong.

I know for sure these will show a level way above the max mark on the stick.
My Bentley manual is one for 80 - 84 Vanagons, bought from a VW dealer in 1984.

How much oil do you guys fill in each oil change for a 1.9 wasserbox?
