I bought a fancy crimper and assortment of connectors from Del at Vintageconnections (thanks to Mike Collum for pointing me to him). I'm never using crappy flaps connectors again -- they usually fall off, sometimes without even pulling on the wire. The results of the ratcheting crimper look just like the factory crimps, they will only come off the wire if they rust off... If you ever have to futz around with old vehicles and their electrical systems, a crimper/connector kit from http://www.vintageconnections.com is a must have. -Paul > > I found those OEM style crimp on female spade "Latching" connectors for >> 12ga wires at http://www.vintageconnections.com/ . The 10-12s fit 12ga wires perfectly. >did you guys check out the unbelieveable price $34.95 on that RACHET crimper >the seller also says that they will shortly have a die set for > the standard FLAPS single crimp connectors that fit that rachet >That crimper will do the dual crimps for >the conductor and the insulator in one operation... killer > >I paid also most as much for a cheesy t-18 eco china junk >http://www.weatherpack.com/weatherpacktools.html >well it did make a now fi harness for me :)
