Hi -

I have a set of alloy wheels from a Passat.  They are 7 spoke 7x15 ET 45
wheels.

Would any list members who have had this type of wheel bored out to 65.5mm
(2.618 inches) for a 2WD vanagon please contact me by pmail.  I am concerned
about the amount of metal that would be removed when these wheels are bored.
 Details of how your wheels were bored - straight, tapered, whatever - are
appreciated.  Has anyone had a problem with modified wheels cracking or
otherwise failing in a way that might indicate that too much metal was
removed when the wheels were bored out?
