The diesels haven't been DROPPED from the lineup, because they haven't yet been OFFERED in the new Jetta/Rabbit/Passat. Since all are new models, VW typically waits 1-2 years before widening powertrain options, sadly. I've read in numerous places (as well as have been told by a local dealer - for what that's worth) that 2008 is the year the TDI Jetta and Rabbits will be here at least.) New Beetle - yes, dropped. http://www.caranddriver.com/previews/12424/first-drive-2008-volkswagen-jetta-tdi.html > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of > Bill Collins > Sent: Friday, June 22, 2007 3:22 PM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Vanagon on VW web site > > The VW USA web site has a section on "Diesel Heritage" that mentions the > Vanagon: http://vw.com/vwhype/heritage/en/us/ > > Kind of odd that they talk about diesel heritage when they've dropped the > TDI from everything but the Toureg. > > Bill
