When I bought my '85 Westy, the PO said the A/C hadn't worked during the 2 years he owned it, so no telling how long it had needed a charge. A year later, I replaced the receiver/dryer and any disturbed O-rings ... flushed the system, removed the compressor for draining and flushing, installed the R-134A fittings, ester oil, evacuated the system (it held) and charged it up. I have to put in about one can of 134 each year to keep it up to snuff. Mike Tom Myers wrote: > has anyone had any experience bring back the A/C?
