From a post by TJ Hannik a couple years ago, it looks like the dash has to be removed in order to repair that clevis/joint at the top of the pedal arm?
 
Mine is getting loose/drooping some although working fine so I'm in the planning stage .... seems that if it's not one thing, it's another (Rosanna-Rosanna Dana)
