If you are going to pull an engine, any (flat 4) VW engine, invest in a ATV/motorcycle jack. I bought one last fall to do my Vanagon engine swap and it made it a piece of cake, even doing it by myself. Got it at Sears, has two adjustable runners that support the VW engine perfectly...I'm now trying to figure out how I can get a Subaru engine on it-the pan sits too low. Jeff
