Yes ... Um ... Maybe ...

We had two screeeeeeching sliding windows.  I'm hyper-sensitive to
sound, and I majorly cringed when I had to open or close either one of
them.

Then we had one vandalized.  S replaced it with a junkyard donor
window, and then and sprayed both of them with WD40 "top and bottom". 

They're both relatively quiet now ...  *aaaah!  Relief! ..... *
