With the pics of the interior though, they wouldn't actually be fooling anyone. If it's not a factory installation, they 'should' make that clear of course - at least that would be nice. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Mike S Sent: Friday, July 27, 2007 9:03 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: FS At 10:05 PM 7/27/2007, Roger Whittaker wrote... >this is stated as being a not westy ... >1989 Syncro Westy Vanagon Audi 1.8 Turbo... >Custom interior by Westy Conversions in Colorado. Calling it a "Westy" based on a conversion by a company which is deliberately named to create confusion doesn't, IMHO, constitute "stated as being a not westy." It shouldn't be listed as a "Westy Vanagon," which is universally understood by VW enthusiasts to mean a Westfalia-Werke GmbH conversion. Much better if it were hyped as a "Synchro Vanagon coverted by Westy of Colorado," or in some way made obvious that it isn't what everyone considers a "Westy" to be.
