Wife-unit and I are planning a "baby-moon" trip down the coast in late Sept. - wandering from Virginia Beach to Savannah and then back up 95 (probably). Does anyone have suggestions for campgrounds and diversions? We're looking at a total of 7-9 days, and checking out Willmington, Charleston, and Savannah along the way. Hiking is always cool, but will be limited to the "gentle" variety due to said to-be baby.

Since we're a stone's throw from the 'banks, we'll probably jump straight down to Cape Hatteras to pick up the ferry. From there, suggestions would be helpful!
