So far so good -- installed the 4 new injectors, using actual fuel-
injector hose (the shop that put the engine in used regular old hose
which sprung 4 leaks over a one year time, I'm quite lucky and/or
stupid for not realizing they had done that).   Engine seems
smoother, and on limited test drives, I'm not hearing the ping any
more.    Further test driving needed, but for now I'm very happy I
did this, and would recommend all other vanagon owners out there
consider this...
